A cross curricular project done in the Junior Room in St Aidan's national school in 2017. These fine young actors developed their creative writing , acting and oral language skills by exploring the story of the Salmon of Knowledge.
Each year, the children study Drama as part of the Arts curriculum of the school.
Every two years the school produces a school play, which is staged in the local Community Hall in Cliffoney.
In the past these school plays were produced and performed during the Christmas term. In 2016 the school play was held in May.
A decision on which play to produce is made by the staff and children early in the school year.
Previous plays performed by the children of St Aidan’s include:
Alice in Wonderland, 2016 (under the guidance of Luke Devaney)
The Spanish Armada Play, (Senior room) September 2015
Aladdin, (Senior room), The Landlord’s Cat, (Junior room) 2014
