The children had a fantastic opportunity to meet and chat with a local Garda from the community, who visited the school to talk about the importance of staying safe during Halloween. Garda Pat shared helpful tips on how to enjoy the festivities while being careful around fireworks, strangers, and busy roads. The highlight of the visit was when the children got to try on real Garda equipment, including a hat and vest, and even had a go at handling handcuffs, a baton, and a speed camera. It was an exciting and educational experience that gave the children a deeper understanding of the Garda's role in keeping our community safe.
