We had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day.
There was great excitement when we got to meet Sonic, Tailor Fox, Terry, Dragon, Wally, Little Red Riding Hood, Harry Potter, Lottie, Glenda, Viking, Jessie and the Giving Tree!
The children introduced themselves as their characters and some read a few pages from their books. We learned about a fox who was a tailor, a trade that had been in his family for generations, and about an amazing treehouse with 52 storeys full of incredible things.
As we couldn’t get outside for break, we held a “Where’s Wally?” hunt in the classroom. The children searched for his glasses, satchel, hat and binoculars before finally spotting Wally himself.
It was a fun day for everyone (teachers included!).
